Friendship Lunches – Everyone’s Welcome!

Looking for friendly company, a hearty meal, and a welcoming atmosphere? Our Friendship Lunches are the perfect place to share food, laughter, and conversation with others in the community.
The lunches, organised and run by a dedicated group of volunteers, are held on the fourth Thursday of each month, except in December when a special Christmas Lunch is served to fit in with other church events. We serve two courses – either a main course and dessert or soup and dessert – for £5 per person, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.

We offer friendship, nutritious food, and a warm environment where people can enjoy chatting with others or simply listening while enjoying company. Around 40–50 friendly faces gather each month, meeting from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm, creating a relaxed and welcoming space for all.

Everyone in the community and surrounding area is warmly invited to attend. So why not come along, pull up a chair, and be part of the family? You’ll be greeted with smiles, good food, and the chance to make new friends – we’d love to see you!

Opened in June 2013 and run by volunteers drawn from all the churches and from the community.

Food is provided on production of a voucher available through a number of agencies and organisations.
