PRAYER DIARY
SUNDAY – 4TH,11TH,18TH,25TH
Give thanks for all who give of their time, energy and love to work with our children and young folk.
Remember Amy and Chloe in their contacts with the teenagers, Michelle becoming involved with children and their families and Rachel putting so much thought and effort into Kids' Kirk.
Pray that the Lord will bless all they do and give them encouragement to keep on serving.
MONDAY – 5TH,12TH,19TH,26TH
Give thanks, as the year draws to its close, for happy occasions and good memories.
Remember those for whom 2016 has brought continued war or natural disaster and for those who are facing Christmas without a loved one or the loss of their health and independence.
Pray that the Blue Sunday service here will be a comfort and source of strength for all who attend.
TUESDAY – 6TH,13TH,20TH,27TH
Give thanks for those who communicate what is happening in Banchory East through the magazine and on Facebook and the website.
Remember all the effort that goes into keeping the information up to date, accurate and relevant. Pray there will be those who will be interested in finding out more about our congregation and its message and mission through these agencies.
WEDNESDAY – 7TH,14TH,21ST,28TH
Give thanks for politicians at every level of government who look to the needs of their constituents and the country and aim for justice and fairness.
Remember Mrs May and her cabinet facing the complexities of Brexit.
Pray for the Presidential changeover in the USA, asking that stability may be maintained and all sections of society feel secure and valued.
THURSDAY – 1ST,8TH,15TH,22ND,29TH
Give thanks for all who regularly and faithfully pray for the work and witness of our congregation.
Remember the privilege and responsibility of praying for others as well as ourselves.
Pray that as the present team producing the diary step down, those who take over this ministry will be blessed in the service they offer.
FRIDAY – 2ND,9TH,16TH,23RD,30TH
Give thanks that God fulfilled his promise to send His son to redeem us.
Remember the people of our own area who have no knowledge of the meaning of Christmas. Pray that hearts are opened to accept the message of the Gospel this Christmas time through preaching and music and in the ways we celebrate the birth of Christ the Saviour of all people.
SATURDAY – 3RD,10TH,17TH,24TH,31ST
Give thanks for the Christian witness to the people of Kandy by the congregation of the Scots Kirk. Remember the three village church centres where there is often opposition to Christian teaching by Temple authorities.
Pray for the work being done among prisoners and their families and especially in the support given to educate 50 children and also the support given to the Women's Development Centre.

A congregational Prayer Meeting is held in the East Church Hall every Wednesday at 1.30pm. This is open to all.
